The Spatial Experience Assessment

What your space is doing to the people
inside it, and what the gap is costing you.

Every venue makes a promise: what it will feel like to be there.

Most venues have never checked whether the space keeps it.

The gap between intention and experience
doesn’t show up in the metrics.

It appears in reviews that never quite point to the same problem, in guests who don’t return, and in a room that’s quieter than it should be.

The Spatial Experience Assessment treats the experience of a space as evidence. Rather than asking whether the design is good, it asks what experience the design is actually producing.

The assessment is a diagnostic in three parts.

The Reading

Reading the space as your guests experience it, from arrival to exit.

Where an on-site visit isn’t practical, the assessment can be conducted remotely, with the methodology adapted to the material available.

The Diagnosis

A written diagnosis of the experience arc as found, the gap between intention and delivery, the emotional cost of that gap, and the moves most likely to improve it.

The Conversation

Presented live.

The document tells you what; the conversation is where the thinking is in the room.

The assessment stands on its own. Where it reveals work worth doing, it can become the first stage of a larger design engagement. That conversation happens because the findings earn it, not because the assessment withholds anything.
